Summer beauty & beach essentials

I’m definitely no expert when it comes to beauty products and i’ve always been quite low maintenance with both makeup and skincare but after trying so many different things over the years i’ve tried to refine my routine down to some essentials that I know benefit my skin. If like me you love makeup free, sun-kissed summer skin with messy, salty beach curls then some of these products might suit you too. Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow Firstly, I’m absolutely obsessed with this product. I don’t really know how it works (something to do with using light particles) but what I do…

Brazil Part Dois

Our next stop was the beautiful town of Paraty. Loved by Brazilians and tourists alike for its pretty colonial architecture, restaurants, shopping and coastal location, Paraty is a must see if you visit the Costa verde. The weather turned as we arrived, having had a week of none-stop wall to wall sunshine we were suddenly hit by a tropical thunderstorm and lots of rain. To be honest it suited us fine and allowed us time to shop, eat and drink without feeling guilty that we should be outside. It also gave us an excuse to spend as much time as…

A Parisian Photo Diary

They say Paris is always a good idea, and when it’s a two hour train journey from London and you get to stay at the amazing Hoxton Hotel, I couldn’t agree more! Cramming in everything we wanted to do and see in just 36 hours was always going to be a challenge but with a couple of 25k step days we managed to squeeze pretty much everything in. After jumping on an early Eurostar from London we arrive in Gay Paree at midday just in time to check-in to the beautiful Hoxton Hotel. Rach and I both really wanted to…

Brazil: Winter Sun

Sunset view from our Airbnb on Ilhabela Our trip to Brazil in November was the first time I’ve dabbled in the winter sun game and honestly i couldn’t recommend it enough. I actually don’t know why us Brits don’t do it more, when you think about it summer in England is actually pretty awesome, yes the weather may not be wholly consistent but it is by enlarge warm and dry(ish). It’s that super depressing spell from October-December and January-April when you’re vitamin d deprived and dreaming of warmer climes, that you need to get the hell out. You may think…

Christmas Gift Guide

Dress: Topshop Bag: Mango Hot Chocolate: Models Own Temperatures are arctic, the yearly weather-related transport break-down has begun, Fairytalke New York is on loop and coffee is now served exclusively in red festive cups – its official, Christmas is here! This year is a bit different for me as it’s the first time i’ll be spending  Christmas with my boyfriends family (Eeeeeek!). I know it isn’t really a big deal but I can’t help but feel like I’m taking that point-of-no-return step into adulthood. It also makes you realise how ritualistic Christmas day is, I’ve been bugging Shaun on a…

Rome

I visited Rome almost 10 years ago during a trip around Europe, and although I marvelled at the Colosseum and Pantheon, threw a coin in the Trevi Fountain and sat on the Spanish steps, I didn’t really feel like i’d seen the real Rome. Returning this time I was determined to explore some of the less touristy areas of the city and stay clear of the crowds and selfie-sticks. Saying that, I did visit the Colosseum and the Pantheon again. Mainly because Shaun had never been to Rome and both of those are definitely you-have-to-see-it-to-believe-it, but also because I just…
