Lost in Lisbon

Its a bit of a running joke between me and my boyfriend that literally every time we visit a new city I immediately fall in love with it, claim its my favourite place ever and subsequently try to convince him to elope there asap. And of course Lisbon was no exception. Except I actually, definitely, 100%, no word of a lie do want to elope there! To say I fell head over heels in love with this city is an understatement. It’s exactly my kind of place with it’s laid back, unpretentious, unassumingly cool charm. It’s not flashy, it doesn’t…

I Got The Spring Fever Blues

Spring has officially sprung. And its been a (very) long time coming. Temperatures have hit 18 (once), I’ve braved a bare leg (twice), one of those time I had to buy some tights mid way through the day (ta England) and every other picture on my Instagram feed are pink blossoms.. yup British spring time I welcome you with open arms. As a tribute to this happy season and at the request of my pal Annie Robinson, I’ve written a post on some (fantastic) spring trends and where to find them. (S)leeve me breathless Tempt me, tease me, ’till i can’t…

Munch Brunch

Ah Brunch. The eternal excuse to eat breakfast food at midday (or later). I mean, its essentially just a meal for people too lazy to get up for breakfast on the weekend but too eager for bacon to skip straight to lunch. Needless to say, i’m a huge fan. As a homage to the humble brunch, I’ve gone ahead and picked three of my fave brunch spots from 2017. Matcha Comin’ Atcha Farm Girl BLT 1. Farm Girl, Portobello Road, Notting Hill Firstly, I feel its my (brunch) duty to inform you that if you visit on the weekend, there…

The (dirty) F Word

I’ve been thinking lately about the use of the F word and how even in the current socio-political climate so few people would classify themselves as feminists. Even though most females experience everyday sexism, whether it be in the work place, the home, in education, in relationship or legally there is still this taboo surrounding the word feminism. The latest survey carried out in the UK, showed that only 7% of us identify ourselves as feminist, yet over two thirds support gender equality.  What’s more is the amount of people who believe in equality has actually risen from previous records, whilst…

Copenhagen: Capital of the world’s happiest nation

Nyhavn Harbour Copenhagen is hands down one of the most beautiful and interesting cities I’ve ever visited, one which i can (and often do) imagine myself living in. Not only does it boast the (best) accolade of being one of the most gender neutral societies in the world but is also home to some of the best food i’ve ever tasted. From its abundance of fresh nordic fish, to hot dog vendors on almost every street, and most importantly possibly the best invention since sliced bread; the Smorgasbord (an open sandwich), the Danes really have nailed the good life. Needless…
